Wage War Announce New Album Landfall, Share Title Track

Wage War have set an October 9 release date for their new studio album, Landfall, via Fearless Records. The Florida metalcore band shared the title track alongside the announcement, giving the first clear indication of where the album’s heavier instincts sit.

“Landfall” opens with downtuned guitars and a harsh vocal approach that leans closer to Korn than to the band’s earlier metalcore comfort zone. The mix is compressed and direct, moving between nu-metal attack and a cleaner chorus that never fully releases the tension. By the outro, a brief Meshuggah-like lead gives way to a deathcore breakdown, a sequence that shows the band pulling from several heavy music registers within a single track.

The band described the song as “about imminent danger and the realization that we aren’t in control,” linking the hurricane imagery to their Florida roots and to a feeling of being at the mercy of something larger. That framing gives the album title a specific weight: Landfall suggests arrival as much as impact.

The album will arrive just before a North American tour with We Came As Romans, Varials, and Cane Hill, starting October 25 in San Antonio and running through November 27 in Orlando. The tracklist includes thirteen songs, with “Silk,” “God Complex,” and “Song of the Swamp” among the titles listed.
