Iceage Announce New Album ‘For Love of Grace & the Hereafter’

The Danish band returns with their first album in five years, a self-produced set recorded at the studio where they made ‘Plowing Into the Field of Love’.

Iceage have confirmed details for their sixth studio album. ‘For Love of Grace & the Hereafter’ is set for release on May 29 through Mexican Summer.

It marks the Danish group’s first new record in five years. The band self-produced the album at Sweden’s Silence Studios, the same location where they recorded their 2014 album ‘Plowing Into the Field of Love’. Frontman Elias Rønnenfelt described the intent behind the new songs as needing to be “immediate, urgent, raw, and fast,” aiming to shed unnecessary weight.

Alongside the announcement, Iceage have shared the track “Ember.” The song follows the earlier single “Star,” both of which will appear on the new album. The tracklist suggests a concise, seven-song collection.

No tour dates have been announced alongside the album news.
