The band’s ‘Motion Picture House’ audiovisual piece will premiere in a Coachella bunker before traveling to venues in the US and Mexico.
Radiohead have detailed a touring audiovisual installation based on their 2021 ‘Kid A Mnesia’ reissue. Titled ‘Motion Picture House’, the 75-minute piece will travel to various locations in the United States and Mexico through 2027.
The installation features music from the combined ‘Kid A’ and ‘Amnesiac’ project alongside artwork by Thom Yorke and the band’s longtime visual collaborator Stanley Donwood. It is designed for a specific, immersive setting.
Its first showing will be at this month’s Coachella festival, housed within a 17,000 square-foot underground bunker. After its California debut, ‘Motion Picture House’ is scheduled for an exhibition at a venue in Brooklyn.
The project extends the archival life of the landmark albums beyond a standard re-release, translating their aesthetic into a physical, experiential format. This multi-year tour suggests a considered, long-term presentation rather than a one-off event.
