The band introduced a second unreleased track during their current run of live dates, following last month’s debut of “See Out Loud.”
Interpol have debuted another new song. The track, titled “Wings On Fire,” was performed for the first time at the Revel Entertainment Center in Albuquerque on Thursday night.
This follows the live debut of another unreleased song, “See Out Loud,” at a show in São Paulo last month. The band is currently on a run of dates between their two Coachella weekends. Described as having a flinty riff and a commanding vocal from Paul Banks, the song was played without introduction, its title only mentioned after it was finished.
The performances signal new material is in development, though no official release details have been announced. Interpol are scheduled for a summer tour across Australia and Europe, offering further opportunities to road-test the new songs.
