The nine-track project lands June 5 on Warp, and the first two tracks, “New Park” and “King Kong,” are out now.
Wu-Lu and POiSON ANNA have announced a joint EP, Bakerz Dozen. The record arrives June 5 on Warp, and the first two tracks, “New Park” and “King Kong,” are available now. The pair describe the nine-track project as a dark, reflective work that moves between alternative, hip-hop, trip-hop and R&B.
The collaboration follows Wu-Lu’s 2024 album Learning to Swim on Empty and POiSON ANNA’s series of singles after her 2023 album FRUiTION. Both artists carry histories with names like Damon Albarn, A$AP Rocky, Dean Blunt and black midi, but Bakerz Dozen narrows the focus to a shared language and a concise set of tracks.
“New Park” and “King Kong” open the release and capture an atmosphere the project itself describes as both intense and restrained. The full tracklist includes “Birds,” “Armour,” “Open Up The Door,” “Slow Motion,” “Heart So Big,” “Shadow Dream Song,” “Let Me In,” “Fall Harder,” “Too Proud To Cry,” and “Low Road.”
