Tinashe has released a new single, “Too Easy,” putting an end to two years of silence since her 2024 album Quantum Baby. The song, co-produced by Kimj and Zack Sekoff, arrived this week after a flurry of teasers on her social accounts.
The track got its first public airing back in April during a DJ set at Coachella’s Do LaB, but the studio version sharpens its light-footed production around a central idea that feels like both a boast and a shrug. Over a buoyant dance beat, Tinashe sings about how navigating fame now comes with ease, a sentiment that lands differently after the career upturn she’s experienced.
Quantum Baby gave Tinashe her highest-charting Billboard Hot 100 entry to date with “No Broke Boys,” and “Nasty” became one of the defining songs of the decade’s first half by Pitchfork’s count. That run pulled her from cult R&B staple into wider pop visibility, a shift that “Too Easy” addresses without the anxiety or strain you might expect from an artist under new pressure.
