Erykah Badu will tour North America this fall, joined by producer The Alchemist and rap group De La Soul. The run adds to the slow-burn anticipation around her still-unreleased album, Abi & Alan.
Erykah Badu returns to the road this September with a set of North American dates that pair her with The Alchemist and De La Soul. Smino is also billed on select West Coast stops, with more guests promised. The booking leans heavily on the collaborative energy that has defined Badu’s recent live shows, but it also sharpens the focus on an album that has been hovering in limbo.
Beginning September 10 in Highland Park, Illinois, the “LIVE” tour will move through Detroit, Toronto, Cleveland, Queens, Denver, and Los Angeles, closing September 29 at the Hollywood Bowl. Pre-sales are underway, with general on-sale starting June 26 via Ticketmaster.
Badu’s last studio album, New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh), came out in 2010. For over a year, she has teased Abi & Alan, a full-length produced entirely by The Alchemist. The single “Next to You” landed in June 2025, but the project missed its initial August release and has not materialized. The two previewed the material on tour last year, and this new routing — again with The Alchemist on the bill — suggests the wait may not be indefinite. No formal release date has been announced.
Earlier this year, Badu issued a 25th-anniversary reissue of Mama’s Gun. The tour marks a return to large outdoor venues and comes as she continues to perform regularly in Japan and at select festivals.
