Fcukers, the New York pairing of Daniel P. Carter and Soren Bryce, have shared a live cover of The Brian Jonestown Massacre’s “Anemone,” releasing it as the duo prepares for a sudden leap in visibility. The track stays faithful to the original’s droning, narcotic pull, but Carter and Bryce strip it back further, letting the performance breathe with a loose, unpolished directness that suits a band still defining its edges.

The release lands before a pair of shows that outline the strange arc of a group barely past its first rehearsals. Later this month, they open for The Strokes at Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
