That earlier film leaned into the fiction of the band’s frontman lineage; this one appears grounded in practical spectacle. Papa V Perpetua, the character introduced for Ghost’s sixth album Skeleta, is present, but the emphasis is on scale and sweat. For a group that has turned theatrical concealment into a core attraction, showing the scaffold and the stagehands is a quiet gesture toward the reality that props up the ritual.
