Suki Waterhouse Maps Her ‘Loveland’ on Third Album

Suki Waterhouse’s next record arrives from a place she calls Loveland — a self-made fantasy where the clock doesn’t run and past and present selves share space. At 34, balancing life as a working mother and partner to actor Robert Pattinson, she’s funneling that friction into songs that accept chaos without seeking tidy resolutions.

One result is “Seasons,” a wistful, airy track cut during a winter freeze at the National’s Long Pond Studio in New York. Working with producer Aaron Dessner for the first time, Waterhouse recorded the vocal while sick, a detail that now feels like the record’s logical center: things break, but they re-form.

A three-month U.S. tour follows, with stops at Lollapalooza, Hinterland Music Festival, Radio City Music Hall, and Austin City Limits. It’s an itinerary that matches the album’s scope — ambitious, slightly frayed, and unmistakably her own.
