Maryland Deathfest Adds YOB, Anaal Nathrakh, Exumer to 2027 Lineup

Maryland Deathfest has confirmed three more names for its 2027 edition: YOB, Anaal Nathrakh, and Exumer. The festival, which runs annually in Baltimore, is still nearly two years away, but organizers say four-day passes are close to selling out.

The additions span distinct corners of heavy music. YOB brings long-form doom, Anaal Nathrakh covers black metal and industrial grind, and Exumer offers Teutonic thrash. All three align with MDF’s long-running reputation for booking acts that define extreme metal’s edges rather than its middle.

That tickets are moving this early says less about any single band and more about the festival’s place in the calendar. MDF remains one of the few U.S. events where the lineup is trusted enough for audiences to commit without seeing the full picture. No further details about the 2027 bill have been released.
