The trailer for Cyrus’ tenth album presents her simply as “Miley,” a shift her father Billy Ray Cyrus describes as a natural progression.

Miley Cyrus is shedding her surname. A trailer for her tenth album, Bass Persuades, carries only the title “Miley,” and the shift now runs across her social media. Signed without a last name, a post describing the album’s title offered no further explanation: “That’s what the title means to me.”
