The Brighton festival’s free submission window runs until 15 February, with no distributor account required.
Artist applications for The Great Escape’s 2027 edition are now open, giving emerging acts a route into one of the most established new-music festivals in Europe. The process is run with CD Baby and is free to enter. Artists do not need an account with the distributor to apply.
Submissions close on 15 February 2027. Because of the volume of applications, the festival will not respond individually. If an artist has not heard back by 31 March, that silence should be read as a no.
The festival takes place each May across venues in Brighton, pairing hundreds of newer acts with international industry professionals. That format has made it a practical checkpoint for artists moving from small rooms to wider attention. Past lineups have included Adele, Stormzy, Ed Sheeran, HAIM, Charli XCX, Kneecap, Sleep Token, Wolf Alice, Dave, Hozier and Lewis Capaldi before they reached larger stages.
Applications are open through the festival’s official portal. Lineup details for 2027 will be announced on its website, social channels and mailing list in the coming months.
