A runway placement at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show pushed streams of Jade’s debut solo single up 4,300 percent, handing the former Little Mix member the American attention she has chased for 15 years.
Spotify recorded a 4,300 percent global increase in streams for Jade’s “Angel of My Dreams” after the Victoria’s Secret fashion show aired on Oct. 18. The track posted its biggest streaming day to date on Tuesday, Oct. 20, and now sits above 86 million streams on the platform. The song is the lead single from her 2024 debut solo album That’s Showbiz, Baby.
The placement was not a background cue. Kylie Jenner walked the runway in the crystal-covered Fantasy Bra, valued at $50 million, with the song scoring the moment. Jade has said she knew the brand was interested in using the track but not how central it would be. Since the broadcast, Jenner has shared a post featuring the song with her 381 million followers, and Jade has thanked both her and the Victoria’s Secret team.
The numbers matter because of what preceded them. Jade spent years inside Little Mix being told a US breakthrough was imminent, a promise she has said was repeated to her for 15 years without arriving. The solo record was the harder push. Now a lingerie brand’s prime-time slot has done what radio and touring did not, at least by streaming metrics.
She is currently working on a second album, which will now compete for her time with the opportunities this week has generated. Sync placements are unpredictable currency, and this one landed on a single already released and largely settled. What it bought her is a new set of listeners in a market that had previously only promised them.
