Death From Above 1979 Announce ‘Private Lives’ Tour for 2026

The duo mapped out a 28-date North American run for this fall and teased a new track that channels their signature bass-heavy attack.

Death From Above 1979 will return to the road in 2026 with the “Private Lives” tour, a 28-date trek across North America. The run kicks off October 1 at Ace of Spades in Sacramento and wraps December 6 at Thunderbird Music Hall in Pittsburgh. Stops include Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Brooklyn, and Vancouver, among others.

Alongside the tour announcement on Instagram, the duo posted a clip of a new song, also likely titled “Private Lives.” The short preview leans on their core ingredients: a fuzzed-out bass riff and pummeling drums, with no softening of their signature attack. It’s the first new material since their last album, Is For Lovers, arrived in 2021. Last year, they revisited their debut You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine, releasing three reworked versions of tracks from that record.

Ticket access follows a staggered rollout. An artist pre-sale begins May 20 at 1 p.m. Eastern, using the code 1979PRIVATELIVES or PRIVATELIVESTOUR on Spotify. A Live Nation pre-sale opens May 21 at the same time, with general on-sale on May 22 at 10 a.m. local time
