Interpol Plots North American Tour, First Partisan Album on the Horizon

The New York band will hit the road from July to October with openers including Youth Lagoon and DIIV, while two new songs hint at their next chapter on Partisan Records.

Interpol will spend the summer and fall on the road across North America, a run that effectively ushers in the band’s first release cycle for Partisan Records. No formal album announcement has arrived, but the itinerary, booked July 31 in Denver through October 17 in Nashville, aligns with the group’s recent live unveiling of two new songs.

The tracks, “Wings on Fire” and “See Out Loud,” both surfaced during 2026 sets, including a slot at Coachella. They carry the same lean, nocturnal weight that has defined Interpol’s sound, while pointing toward whatever comes next after decades with Matador. The move to Partisan places them on a roster that already includes IDLES and Fontaines D.C., a context that quietly reframes the band’s position within the current post-punk map.

A rotating cast of openers will join the AEG Presents-promoted tour: Youth Lagoon, Loathe, julie, DIIV, and French Police each appear on select dates. The routing also folds in a previously announced September 26 appearance at New York’s CBGB Festival and a one-off support slot for SOMBR in Vancouver on September 29. Those festival and support dates extend the band’s footprint without over-explaining the strategy.

Interpol has not spoken much about the record, but the tour routing and the quiet introduction of new material onstage suggest the work is done. For a band that has rarely rushed anything, the pace feels deliberate.
