Niall Horan Joins Ella Bright on ‘Off Campus’ Soundtrack Surprise

The team behind Prime Video’s Off Campus kept one secret from its lead. On the newly released Off Campus: The Mixtape (Extra Credit), Ella Bright — who plays music major Hannah Wells — discovered mid-recording that her solo cover of the Foundations’ “Baby Now That I Found You” had become a duet. Niall Horan’s vocals were slipped into the track without her knowledge.

A video captures the moment Horan tells Bright she’s about to hear “our version.” She reacts with disbelief, then quickly compares the song’s warmth to Horan’s early solo single “This Town,” calling it her favourite. The moment lands somewhere between promotional move and genuine fan surprise: Bright’s character is a devoted One Direction listener, and the series has used the band’s music before.

Horan’s appearance adds a meta layer to the show’s long-running 1D thread. Earlier episodes featured a charity performance of “Kiss You” and a playlist stuffed with deep cuts. Now the fiction bleeds into the official release. For Horan, the feature arrives after this year’s fourth album Dinner Party and suggests a quiet ease with pop culture cameos rather than a hard pivot.
