The artist will tour North America this fall with his band the Dark Clouds, following the release of his latest album under the Johnny Blue Skies moniker.
Sturgill Simpson has confirmed a major North American tour for this fall. The Mutiny for the Masses Tour will see him performing with his band the Dark Clouds across the United States and Canada.
The tour supports his 2024 album, “Passage Du Desir,” which was released under the alias Johnny Blue Skies. This marks his first full scale tour since recovering from vocal cord surgery in 2021, framing the run as a significant return to the stage.
Simpson’s recent work as Johnny Blue Skies represents a deliberate shift, moving away from the heavier sounds of his last few records toward a more melodic and soul inflected style. The tour promises to highlight this new chapter alongside material from his broader catalog.
Tickets go on sale to the general public next Friday. The itinerary begins in Minnesota in September and runs through multiple nights at venues like the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, concluding in Oklahoma in November.
