Summer Smash Expands Its Lineup with Skrillex and North West

The Chicago hip-hop festival adds its first electronic headliner and schedules a debut festival set for North West.

The Summer Smash festival is shifting its scope for its 2025 edition. While the Chicago event remains centered on hip-hop, its headline tier now includes Skrillex as its first electronic music anchor. He joins previously announced headliners Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert.

The broader lineup reinforces the festival’s core identity, featuring Chief Keef, Baby Keem, and a collaborative set from Yung Lean and Bladee. Other notable acts include Lil Baby, Sexyy Red, and Lucki.

In a separate development, North West will make her debut live festival performance on the event’s opening day, June 12. The set will occur just before her 13th birthday. Organized by Lyrical Lemonade and SPKRBX, Summer Smash takes place from June 12 to 14 at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois.
