Rough Trade NYC Announces Free Indieplaza Festival for Record Store Day

The Brooklyn shop’s day-long event features Incendiary, Say She She, Hotline TNT, Momma, and a DJ set from Avalon Emerson.

Rough Trade NYC has detailed its free Indieplaza festival, set for Record Store Day on April 20. The day-long event will take place outdoors at the store’s Brooklyn location, featuring a cross-section of guitar-driven and indie pop acts.

The lineup includes hardcore band Incendiary, the disco-inflected soul of Say She She, and the shoegaze-leaning sounds of Hotline TNT. Also performing are Momma, Friko, Winter, Nuovo Testamento, and Weird Nightmare. Avalon Emerson is scheduled for a DJ set.

The festival underscores the store’s role as a physical hub, using Record Store Day to draw a crowd with a live, curated program rather than relying solely on retail exclusives. The booking reflects a broad but coherent indie aesthetic, from punk energy to synth-pop.

Indieplaza is free and open to the public, with performances running from midday into the evening.
