The band will headline a 32-city North American tour this autumn with The Shins and Silversun Pickups, alongside work on a new studio album.
Weezer has confirmed a major North American arena tour for this fall, titled “Weezer: The Gathering.” The 32-city run will feature support from The Shins and Silversun Pickups.
The tour represents a significant live production for the band, moving through US and Canadian markets from September into November. It marks a return to large-scale touring with a bill that connects distinct eras of alternative rock, pairing Weezer’s catalog with the melodic indie of The Shins and the heavier drive of Silversun Pickups.
In tandem with the tour announcement, the band confirmed it is preparing a new studio album. While specific release details remain unconfirmed, the timing suggests new material could factor into the upcoming setlists, framing the tour as both a retrospective and a forward-looking event.
