Madonna Played New Confessions II Songs at an Intimate West Hollywood Club Night

The invite-only event at the Abbey also featured a collaboration with Addison Rae and a set from Romy of the xx, as Madonna’s July album rollout gains shape.

Madonna keeps moving. Months before Confessions II lands in July, she brought the album’s world to life inside West Hollywood’s the Abbey last night. The surprise appearance at the invite-only Club Confessions Los Angeles event doubled as a birthday celebration for club owner Tristan Schukraft, but the focus stayed on new music. She unveiled fresh material, this time with pop singer Addison Rae beside her.

Details on the songs are still thin, but the pairing matters. Rae’s own recent turn toward house and electro-pop lines up neatly with the territory of Confessions on a Dance Floor and its sequel. It was less a feature, more a shared moment in a room designed for this exact kind of exchange. The night also included performances from Romy Madley Croft of the xx and Mez Monty, each adding weight to a club night that felt purpose-built, not just promotional.

This follows Madonna’s Coachella weekend two set with Sabrina Carpenter, where they performed the unreleased “Bring Your Love.” The single “I Feel So Free” is already out. Rather than a traditional press cycle, the Confessions II rollout is stitching together live one-offs and club appearances, privileging dancefloors over press releases. It’s a route that makes sense for an album whose predecessor was built on sweaty, continuous-mix logic.

There’s no word yet on whether the Rae collaboration will appear on the album. But for a night, the Abbey became the nexus of a pop era that treats the club not as backdrop, but as medium.
