The South London group returns October 2nd with a second album shaped by road life, heartbreak, and a Vegas wedding.
South London group Fat Dog have confirmed their second album. Cancel Me (I’m Tired) will be released on October 2nd, arriving just over a year after their debut WOOF caused a ruckus on the back of notoriously unhinged live shows.
The announcement follows a weekend supporting Kneecap at Crystal Palace Park. The new record draws directly from the band’s recent past—life on the road, a messy heartbreak, and, as they put it, the small matter of getting married in Vegas.
The title track is out now. Seemingly sparked by John Lennon’s acerbic “How Do You Sleep,” the song sits with uncomfortable truths rather than deflecting them. Joe Love’s vocal is direct: “If you wanna cancel me / Then go ahead and do it please…” The video, shot by director James Winstanley on the year’s hottest day, follows the band through a sweat-soaked night out in Soho.
The 10-track album is available to pre-order. Among its titles: “Smile and Wave,” “Heart Of Darkness,” and closer “Aliens.”
