Shed Seven’s Self-Titled Seventh Album Arrives in January, Launch Instore Stream Tonight at 100 Club

The York band marks its seventh studio album with a livestreamed launch from London’s 100 Club, broadcast tonight on YouTube. Rick Witter says new single ‘Stand Together’ is a “call to arms” from a record they believe is their best yet.

Shed Seven will release their seventh studio album on January 8th — and this one is simply called Shed Seven. It arrives via Cooking Vinyl, and the number prompted frontman Rick Witter to make the title matter. “We have taken great care in making this album what we believe to be our best yet,” he said, “and we hope these songs are taken to people’s hearts.”

Tonight, the band unveils the project with a live-streamed set from The 100 Club in London. Broadcast starts at 8pm on their YouTube channel. It’s an unfussy way to mark a new phase for a group that has quietly sustained itself since the mid-90s, never quite slipping into heritage-act sentiment.

The first song to surface is ‘Stand Together’. Witter calls it a statement of intent and a rallying cry for unity — not a subtle pivot, but a direct one. The single is out now, attached to a winter UK tour the band has titled Shedcember. Among the dates, a sold-out night at O2 Academy Brixton on December 11th already signals the appetite for this album before it lands.
