Three former members of Felt played together for the first time in 37 years at Glas-Goes Pop in Glasgow, performing under the name Feel. Drummer Gary Ainge, bassist Marco Thomas and guitarist Philip King had announced last month that they would play instrumental versions of the band’s catalogue, a move that deliberately reframes the group without its founder and only constant, Lawrence.
The set at Glasgow University Union also expanded beyond the core trio. Martin Davies joined on keys and Andy Wellings on lead guitar. Later, Belle and Sebastian’s Stuart Murdoch and Rhadika, daughter of Soup Dragons bassist Sushil K. Dade
