Three Felt Members Perform as Feel for First Time in 37 Years

Without founder Lawrence, drummer Gary Ainge, bassist Marco Thomas and guitarist Philip King played instrumental versions of Felt songs at Glas-Goes Pop, joined by Stuart Murdoch and Rhadika on “Primitive Painters.”

Three former members of Felt played together for the first time in 37 years at Glas-Goes Pop in Glasgow, performing under the name Feel. Drummer Gary Ainge, bassist Marco Thomas and guitarist Philip King had announced last month that they would play instrumental versions of the band’s catalogue, a move that deliberately reframes the group without its founder and only constant, Lawrence.
