Judas Priest to Release Career-Spanning ‘The Best Of’ Compilation

The heavy metal icons will issue a new greatest hits collection this June, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of their seminal album ‘Sad Wings of Destiny’.

Judas Priest have confirmed a new career retrospective titled ‘The Best of Judas Priest’. The compilation is scheduled for release on June 19 through Sony Music.

The collection arrives as part of several projects marking the 50th anniversary of the band’s influential 1976 album, ‘Sad Wings of Destiny’. Its tracklist spans five decades, from 1974’s ‘Rocka Rolla’ to material from this year’s album, ‘Invincible Shield’.

It will be available in multiple formats. A 16-track CD edition and a 10-track standard vinyl version are planned, alongside an online-exclusive picture disc vinyl. The announcement follows news of a forthcoming documentary on the band produced by Tom Morello and Sam Dunn.

The compilation serves as a formal overview of the band’s catalog at a notable milestone, framing their enduring influence within the heavy metal genre.
