Psychedelic Furs Cancel All 2026 Touring After “Serious Medical Issue”

The sudden announcement comes just days after the band revealed a summer run with Living Colour, halting both spring and summer itineraries.

The Psychedelic Furs have called off every scheduled concert for 2026. A short message posted to the band’s Instagram on Wednesday announced the cancellation, pointing only to “a serious medical issue in the band.” No further details were given.

The news arrives abruptly. Earlier this week, the group had confirmed a summer U.S. tour with Living Colour, set to begin in early August and extend into September. That announcement now looks like it was made just before something shifted behind the scenes. A separate spring tour, which was to kick off in mid-May and run through late July, is also gone. We Are Scientists had been booked as support on a significant portion of those dates.

The statement offered a brief apology and noted that refunds are available at the original point of purchase. It ended with a promise of more information soon. For a band that has toured steadily in recent years, often revisiting their first two albums in full, the sudden silence is unusual and hard to ignore. The medical issue remains unnamed, but the decision to erase an entire year of live work says as much as any diagnosis would.
