After dismissing his son from his own touring band, Roger Waters is now assisting in the search for a frontperson for Harry Waters’ new tribute act, Legacy.
Roger Waters is looking for a singer. The specific need is for a vocalist who can channel his own younger voice to front Legacy, a new Pink Floyd tribute band formed by his son, Harry Waters.
This follows Waters’ 2023 decision to remove Harry from his own touring lineup. The project, scheduled to begin touring in 2027, aims to cover Pink Floyd’s “golden era” material alongside songs from Waters’ solo career.
In a statement, Waters outlined the vocal requirements, referencing the soft delivery needed for “Comfortably Numb” and the strained scream in “Don’t Leave Me Now.” He described his son’s venture as a “great band and show” that is currently missing its central voice.
The search reframes a familial and professional rift into a collaborative, if distinctly managed, effort. It places the iconic vocal character of classic Pink Floyd records as a role to be filled for a new, sanctioned tribute act.
