Slow Pulp Debut “Yellow And Green” and “Slip Away” on The Adam Friedland Show

Two weeks before Slow Pulp release *Melodie*, the Chicago indie rock group used an appearance on *The Adam Friedland Show* to air the record’s bookends. Alongside an acoustic version of the already-shared “Better Man,” the band performed two unreleased tracks: opener “Yellow And Green” and finale “Slip Away.”

“Yellow And Green” carries a direct Green Bay Packers reference, giving the album’s first song a playful, regional anchor. “Slip Away” lands somewhere more interior. Guitarist Henry Stoehr described the song’s origin as an early-twenties moment of disconnection: “walking to the Ace Hardware in Madison and saw a couple of people I used to know and then saw them ignore me.” That specificity pulls the song away from vague regret.

The session continues the rollout for *Melodie*, which already includes “Better Man,” “Not For Nothing,” and “Spill.” The album is out September 18 via ANTI-.
